Google Chrome

What is Google Chrome, you might ask? Why, it's only the latest greatest new app from our friends at Google, that's what! Google has release a (wait for it... waaaaait for it...) Web Browser! That's right, Google has released their own web browser, Google Chrome. It's in Beta right now, which means it's still buggy (I couldn't login to my site, for instance, so I'm writing this through FireFox 3 (another great browser)). I'm sure that means hundreds or thousands of bug reports today, and a good solid patch come Friday or Monday.

Ubuntu!

Okay, have a couple Linux links for you today. The first is a good read even for the non-technical! It's a real-world example of someone sitting down and just using Linux.

Worst Web Design Ever

Friend of mine passed this along via email. I think I have to agree with his assessment. While this may not be the worst, it's pretty bad.

By the way, don't follow the link if you're prone to epileptic seizures. Not sure if it could trigger one, but, I have my concerns...

809 Area Code Scam

You get emails about scams and stuff all the time. Snopes.com is your friend in these cases, of course, filtering the fact from the fiction. In this case, though, why not go straight to the carrier?

If you haven't heard about the 809 Area Code scam, it's a real thing, but usually rather exaggerated. Here's what AT&T has to say on the subject. Worth a read, just to be aware.
